Back in April, we got a chance to sit down with Bronx rapper Denzil Porter. He gave us a crash course in bars, ciphers, wordplay, and all the other things that are a bit of a lost art among many rappers today.
So with the upcoming back-to-school season almost upon us, it’s only natural that his newest single is a lesson for those who may have forgot the definition of “bars” (or may not have known it in the first place). On “Bar School,” Porter crafts a lesson by example over a heavy hitting composition produced by Melks.
