Press photos for artists are definitely a topic of discussion for every PR agency, talent label, artist management firm… you name it. Your press photo asserts our personality in the world of music. It needs to have pizzazz without being ridiculous.
So we did a roundup of the best press photos out there right now. Here’s the best, the brightest, the fluffiest, and the weirdest:
This is the press photo that started this list. It’s definitely the English golden retrievers that caught my eye—but why black them out to hide their identities? They’re good boys, and they need all the pets.
Dada Life is pretty much known for their absurd press photos. There’re bananas, there’s vomit, there’s something…. je ne sais quoi. It don’t matter, it goooooooood.
Aren’t press shots supposed to make you look good? This is definition “love me for my personality.” And you know what, Dillon? I do. Even if your press photo screams “trapped in a glass case of emotion.”
Find someone to love you like DRAM loves his goldendoodle Idnit. If you don’t follow Idnit on Instagram, stop everything you’re doing and start right now. Idnit was even featured on DRAM’s breakout album cover, and if that’s not reason enough to fall in love with this press shot, there’s tons just like it because DRAM is perfect.
This dude is a legend. If you haven’t seen his other press photos, you need to google him immediately. A lot involve food, but some involve grumpy cat and bloody mouths.
Yolandi (Die Antwoord)
Did you know fear like this before seeing this photo?
“Why include this?” You may be asking yourself. Because he’s cooking up some hot beats, that’s why.
