Superfly and the City of Denver’s Office of Special Events have announced they’re moving into the contract negotiation process for their 2018 festival. As previously announced in February, Superfly will bringing its new festival to the Overland Park Golf Course.

However, initial plans of producing the event with AEG has been scrapped and it will be organized solely by Superfly.  This is not a surprise; the company already runs two successful festivals elsewhere in the US, Outside Lands (in San Francisco) and Bonnaroo (in Manchester, TN).

Chuck Morris, the CEO of AEG Presents stated, “We have worked with Superfly for many years and know that their high standards for producing exceptional events will result in a festival that Denver and Colorado will be proud of”.

Once a contract between Superfly and the City of Denver is agreed upon, the City Council will vote on whether or not the festival is allowed to happen. The three-day festival would begin in 2018, occur annually thereafter, and is expected to attract between 30,000 to 60,000 people per day. This will be a great opportunity for local businesses and the Denver economy. It’s a very exciting time for Denver’s music scene and culture.
