I imagine this album being perfect for any sort of space travel. His use of analog synths and drum machines takes you on a deep journey no matter where you’re listening to it and the almost psychedelic grooves will leave even the most discerning fan in a state of euphoria.

Confidence Man – Confident Music for Confident People
How does one describe this album? One word comes to mind… CONFIDENT. Looking for a pick-me-up? This is what you need. Spoken word party tracks abound with this Australian quartet’s debut. It’s a sweaty, throbbing mess of good times that’ll get you laughing.

Wrekmeister Harmonies – The Alone Rush
If you need something chipper, this is not your album, but if you’re into the melancholic and dark, it could be your favorite album on the list this week. It’s heavy, it’s experimental, and it’s got an almost noir poetic vibe to it with deep spoken word throughout that will make you look behind you to make sure no one is there.

A Place To Bury Strangers – Pinned
Noise rock has never sounded so good from this Brooklyn three-piece. Every song brings with it a sense of yearning that you can’t help but feel too. It’s dark, it’s gritty, and at points, you’ll feel a bit nervous listening. But in the end, it’s gold, especially that first track.

Sofi Tukker – Treehouse
This is my favorite album of the week. This entire record is like falling into a club, hitting your head, coming to, and realizing that there’s nowhere else you’d rather be. Gentle, hopeful, and a beautiful album overall. If you’re looking for a gorgeous singer/songwriter album with a touch of country, Americana, and almost ’90s rock in the backbone, this’ll treat you well. The perfect album to sway to with your partner.

Beak> – L.A. Playback
Is it psychedelic rock? Indie? Krautrock? Electronic? Yep. All mashed together in an experimental wasteland that might remind you of The Doors if they were mixed with your favorite ’80s video game and NIN. The whole thing is super ominous, but you want to listen to it to hear just how deep they go down the rabbit hole.
