Finally, the new albums are rolling in, and not a week too soon! This week’s New Music Friday has a proliferation of electronic and pop experimental releases, and none of them disappoint.

Give these albums a listen!

gnash – we

For Gnash fans, this album may come as a little bit of a surprise, as it is mostly acoustic. Song themes dabble on doubt, anxiety and insecurity, but with an upbeat, somewhat cheerful flow.

You Tell Me – You Tell Me

Peter Brewis and Sarah Hayes have teamed up as duo You Tell Me to bring you this new progressive art pop album. The tunes are infused with every instrument imaginable: woodwinds, piano, guitar, you name it. The duo harmonizes perfectly on this funky, groove filled album.

Little People – Landloper

While Little People was previously known for his all instrumental work, his newest album Landloper takes a dive into the previously unknown with guest vocals galore. This Swiss producer somehow is exploring his sound within trip hop, carving out space in a lush, glitchy electronic haze.

Tallies – Tallies

Hello, Tallies! Hello, indie dream pop! Tallies’ debut album is one that “uses the sway of ’80s new wave to maneuver through currents of surf-rock, with an occasional jaunt into the more accessible side of shoe gaze.”

Lost Kings – Paper Crowns

Much to electronic fans’ delight, Lost Kings has released an EP filled with boppy tunes and big name collabs (Tove Styrke, Wiz Khalifa) that are guaranteed to pick up the mood of any party.
