We’re starting to wind up the last of the New Music Friday releases as the end of 2018  nears, so it’s no surprised artists are trying to end the year with a bang (and new hit albums).

Let’s get into the albums you should check out this week.

Vic Mensa – HOOLIGANS

This EP has been expected from Vic Mensa ever since he dropped an emo-rap single in November. The EP is dark, wild, reflective of Mensa’s emotionally trying year, and features huge players like Ty Dolla $ign, G-Eazy, Charlie Wilson, G-Herbo, and more.

Gryffin – Gravity Pt. 1

Die Hard Gryffin fans may be a little disappointed in this “EP” release, as there is only one new previously unreleased single included in this bundle. For those of you pleasantly surprised at the release, you can expect vibrant, emotional melodies throughout.

Netsky – Abbot Kinney

Netsky‘s newest EP, rounding out 2018, has features from Toulouse, Jozzy, and more. The tunes range from breezy synths to swankier tunes, all illuminatingly and cheerfully setting the tone for music to come. Good feels through the whole EP.

Kodak Black – Dying to Live

Kodak Black‘s sophomore album seems to give fans exactly what they were craving while he was in jail. Dying to Live has features from Offset, Juice WRLD, Travis Scott, and Lil Pump.

Charlotte Gainsbourg – Take 2

Take 2 is quintessential french indie pop that will get you grooving pretty much instantaneously. One listen to this album by Charlotte Gainsbourg will have you feeling invincible.

Kid Ink – Missed Calls

On the flip side of hip hop, Kid Ink releases a couple party tracks in the new Missed Calls. Ringing in at only 7 songs, it’s jam packed with vocals from Lil Wayne, Rich the Kid, Saweetie, Valee and more.
