presidents day

Presidents’ Day is this Monday, February 19th, 2018.

If you’re lucky enough to have the day off to celebrate U.S. presidents, you’re going to need a playlist to rock all day. Below, you’ll find bands with presidential names, songs, albums, and at the bottom, you’ll find a code for half-off a new Jukely membership!

Four score and seven songs ago…

The first group on the list should be a no-brainer, The Presidents of the United States of America. With the big hits like “Lump,” “Peaches,” and “Video Killed the Radio Star,” you’ll have incredible tunes all day to reminisce to. And they have a ton of other songs you may not be familiar with to check out.

And while you may know the next guy from his time with the Fugees, you don’t have to wait until November to throw on Wyclef Jean‘s song from back in 2008, “If I Was President.”

And then the newer version from 2016, if you’re looking for something a little shorter and calmer.

Next! You wanna get a lil’ old school, a lil’ funky? Something with some soul? You’re going to want to grab on the motion picture soundtrack for… Dead Presidents Vol. 1. Everyone from Barry White to Isaac Hayes is on this one.

Oh, the above isn’t doing it for you? You need some electronic music in your life? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered on this single from Disastronaut (which is an incredible name all by itself), “President.”

Here’s a group that you may or may not be familiar with, but on Spotify, their big hit “Coco Jamboo” has over 32 million listens. Get your groove on and dance the day away with this classic electronic trio, Mr. President.

And finally, if you’re looking for straight-up punk rock from a few legends, including members of Bad Religion, Circle Jerks, and Goldfinger, look no further than Black President. Unfortunately, you’ll have to find them outside of Spotify, but they’re out there.
