Classixx, the Los Angeles duo of childhood friends Michael David and Tyler Blake, have been a summer staple in the hearts of electro-disco lovers all around. Classixx are known for their breezy disco-infused daydream sounds, that take us on sonic journeys to Miami beaches circa 1980, holding a Mai-tai with the warm salty air blowing through our hair. After their game-changing album Hanging Gardens released in 2013, Classixx are back with a new, ultra-intelligent electronic album, and lucky for every single one of us, they’re on a Classixx Faraway Reach tour.
Their most recent album, Faraway Reach, which is another musical wonderland that takes us on a journey through the clouds and lands us on a planet of funk and dance, which is also known as their live tour. A wide-ranging amalgamated album that features the likes of T-Pain, How To Dress Well, Passion Pit and so many more.
