People should pay more attention to Canada. People up there have been talking about the best live DJ in Canada for years now, but we’re just catching on.
That would be Aaron Waisglass, better known as Grandtheft. The classically trained musician turned hard trap enthusiast turned club maestro has been gathering acclaim from people in the know for his creatively eclectic sound and smooth productions, as well as for his renowned live performances.
After releasing his debut EP Quit This City in 2015, he’s been bubbling up on the dance and electronic charts here in the United States. His most recent release, “Square One” featuring pop singer MAX, has generated a lot of buzz, plus it has a music video that’s a great visual representation of his style.
He’s out on tour right now and he’s making a stop at PRYSM Nightclub for their Detour Fridays night. The combination of the perfect Chicago nightclub setting and a remarkable live performer. Sounds like a good way to spend a Friday night.
