When musicians and longtime friends Porter Robinson and Madeon surprise-dropped their joint single “Shelter” then proceeded to announce a joint North American Tour, fans and critics alike rejoiced.
How could you not? The talented, young producers have individually made names for themselves, challenging the boundaries of bringing visionary electronic music to a global audience, with Porter’s Worlds and Madeon’s Adventure, respectively. Together, there is no telling how high they’ll climb.
Dubbed “silky electro pop” by Rolling Stone, and “a glitchy pop anthem” by FADER, “Shelter” took the internet by storm, racking up more than 10 million plays over the course of four weeks. The tour followed suit, selling out multiple dates almost instantly. With more than 70,000 tickets sold in one month, Porter and Madeon have announced additional tour dates, including The Theater at Madison Square Garden in NYC and a third LA show at The Shrine Auditorium.
