While Dana Janssen has only been in Portland for seven years now, he’s made quite the home for himself and his new band Dana Buoy. You could describe the music as indie rock, synth-pop, or tropicore, but no matter how you look at it, make sure to include the warm and fuzzy feelings you get throughout it all.
Listening to his music and watching videos like the one below just make you feel good. You can de-stress, relax, and just smile throughout every song. And the live show? It’s just as good! While he’s a one man band in the studio, when he’s out playing live he’s got a full band behind him on drums and guitar.
And not only was Dana also in the experimental art rock band Akron/Family, last month, he also got behind the drum kit for Bob’s Burgers Live at The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.
Is there anything this guy can’t do?
