Portland, the first annual Stackstock Music Fest is coming to you! This one-day event is being presented by Public Coast Brewing Company. Not only is the festival only the first, it’s going to be bringing the region’s best established and emerging rock and pop bands.
The headliner of this one will be Colin Meloy. Who’s not only the singer/songwriter and guitarist for The Decemberists, but is also a father and author. Listen to one of his powerful performances to prepare yourself.
Other acts include the dreamy synth pop sounds of bands like Pure Bathing Culture and Cardioid to the catchy pop sounds of Portland’s Ages and Ages. The Edna Vazquez Acoustic Trio will bring their Latin-infused tunes and the woodsy folk harmonies of Wonderly will blow you away.
Finally, prepare your vocals because Portland’s OK Chorale PDX will be there to turn the entire festival audience into a one-night-only pop band. Below is their tribute to the one and only David Bowie. Time will tell what they bring to Stackstock.
And while the music will be incredible, there will also be a plethora of local beers on tap and food from the Wayfarer Restaurant’s Chef Josh Archibald and his mobile smokehouse. And lastly, for all the sweet-tooths out there, desserts will served by the Ruby Jewel Ice Cream cart.
