There aren’t many things that feel better than some sensual, R&B infused electro. Taking off a wet bathing suit feels great, but when you find that musician that can take you on a sonic soul train down lovers lane, it’s pretty much the musical equivalent of hitting the jackpot.
There’s a thin line between the moods of wanting to get down and wanting to get down and dirty, and it’s a tough artistic balance to try to ride that line. But boy oh boy when those lines do bridge, the stars align and life finally seems like a smooth journey, even if it’s just for 3 minutes and 25 seconds.
Take, for example, our girl TOKiMONSTA, the power producer from Los Angeles who has been making serious moves in the scene for a while now.
You may know her because she’s been heading up the collaborative game with quite a roster. She has worked with artists such as Grimes, Anderson .Paak, Johnny Pierce, MNDR, A L L I E, and has quite a history of music with dance-a-holic, indie-pop singer Gavin Turek.
Her track “Realla” with Anderson .Paak a couple of years ago made its way through the blogosphere and infected the hearts of every listener.
