Located in the heart of Seattle, Neumos sits right on the infamous old auto row on Capitol Hill.
In the earlier days (circa 1992, when it was founded), the mid-sized venue used to go by the name of Moe’s Mo’Roc’N Café. The car dealership-turned venue-gained notoriety by providing artists with white-glove hospitality, and fully committing to serve patrons by bringing the best shows possible. And it did.
As Moe’s grew, bands and artists began to launch their U.S. tours there. In the summer of ’96, Moe’s played host to the debut performance of Neil Young’s collaboration with Pearl Jam, Mirror Ball and so many more.
Over the years, notable bands like Bush, Oasis, The Goo Goo Dolls and Garbage have catapulted their careers by starting off at Moe’s, and from there, the saying goes, the rest is history.
In 2003, the venue re-opened under its current name Neumos, pronounced as ‘new moe’s’. The venue prides itself on being independently owned and operated as well as providing an eclectic mix of local and national acts from every genre.

Neumos is also home to three full service bars, a second floor, and a balcony that looks over the stage. The venue also has a sister showroom called Barboza, which opened in 2012, has a max capacity of 200 and is technically inside a former basement. Barboza is typically reserved for private events, but it’s a beautiful space.
Looking ahead to the rest of 2017, Neumos plans on remodeling their entire showroom and will be closed for the first two months of the new year but will return to the groove with performances by Ty Segall, Tennis and The Radio Dept.
